Fire Piston: The Barn Burner

Where I come from a 'Barn Burner' is a large wooden "Strike Anywhere" match. I designed this fire piston to resemble a large wooden match, so it was only natural that I name it "The Barn Burner". Padauk 'match head' top grip, with a Yellow Heart 'matchstick'. Brass sleeved cylinder for durability. Inquiries welcome.

Knife Lanyard Part 3

This knife is a little larger than the others, so I passed the 4-strand braid through the lanyard hole in the knife handle. Then it joins into an 8-strand braid.

Old Pocket Knife... New Lanyard

Very similar to the lanyard on my Kershaw knife, this one is in different colors. Slightly different shape to the pineapple knot due to the differences in 'mouse'. I'm a little partial to the black, but the tan is nice too.

Pop Can Camp Stove

I made a couple of pop can camp stoves over the weekend. The instructions are easily found on the internet. It was easy and fun. They burn denatured alcohol and work very well. I boiled the pan of water in the photo in less than 5 minutes. The wind screen/pot holder is made from an old rain gutter and some stainless steel welding rod. It has since been improved with small retaining brackets just below the notches to prevent the rods from flipping over and slipping inside. If there's any interest I'll post a new picture of it.
